Cameron distiller from Four Pillars and this is his tribute to four things he loves: Australia, Christmas, gin and his late mum Wilma. Each year Wilmoa would make Christmas puddings on Victoria Derby Day while the rest of the family watched the races. So a couple of years ago, on Derby Day, Cam put some puds made to her recipe in the botanical basket of Wilma (our still) and distiled a gin. He was also working on a gin aged in our collection of 80-year-old Muscat barrels. So he decided to blend these together and add a tweak of Classic Rutherglen Muscat. The result smells like gin and tastes like Christmas. Sip straight over ice, simply mix with ginger ale or make a cracking Martinez. This year’s artwork is by the incredibly talented painter Jane Reynolds. Jane’s art is all about the relationship between colour, form and light. We challenged Jane to come up with one of her signature hyper-real compositions that would celebrate the colour and iconography of Christmas. Her response was this stunning abstract Christmas scene, with the presents arranged around the tree.
